Anniversary of the Holy Quran, 1970-1980

The Motamar was a catalyst in the celebration of the 1400th anniversary of the Revelation of the Holy Quran in some 30 countries in the 1970 and 1980.

The Motamar's 1970 proposals for setting up of "Sautul Quran" (Voice of the Quran) Radio channel and an International Muslim Chamber of Commerce and Industry have been implemented.

Addressing the UN General Assembly, 1979

The Motamar lobbied in the 1979 Islamabad Conference of Islamic Foreign Ministers for the President of Pakistan, General Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq to go to the UN and address the UN General Assembly on the dawn of the 15t Century of the Islamic Hijri Calendar which he did in 1980.
